Hi all!
I stuck with it and got the FINISH! ;) Never easy for me, which is why I LOVE DEADLINES! LOL
Buddy is still very partial to my BOLD STRIPES BRIGHT STARS quilt! As you can imagine, his "attachment" made it very difficult to sew the binding all around, but I won!
This quilt is the solution to finishing the 9 SAMPLER BLOCKS that you can collect during the CENTRAL KANSAS QUILT SHOP HOP [click here for more details], and is now hanging here at Charlotte's Sew Natural, 710 N Main Street in Newton! Finishing kits with complete pattern will be available during the Hop, and/or can be pre-ordered now.
All 9 shops are meeting in 2 weeks, at which time we'll show each other our quilts, take photos, and then we'll all share them online and all social media starting September 15. Until then, you may be able to catch a glimpse in the individual shops!

Also from Robert Kaufman, we recently got in a brand new FLANNEL called SEAWOOL. This is a RECYCLED product, consisting of oyster shells & plastic bottles, poly & rayon. I promise you can't tell! It is awesome, thick, rich, soft stuff. Plus it has all sorts of other great properties. See it online here, and again, you gotta stop in the store to see touch and feel this! Nice WIDE 55" width!
The temperatures are supposed to drop a bit today and tomorrow. I always get energized when this happens.

The store will be CLOSED ON LABOR DAY MONDAY. Hope you too are "labor free". I know that many of you will be working, but we've decided to take the day off to do whatever we want to do. ;)
