Hi all!
I'm so happy to finally show you my finished Shop Hop quilt! Meet BOLD STRIPES!
I took the block kits from the other 8 participating shops, then made a few more blocks, using scraps from the first 9 and a bit more, for a total of 12 sampler blocks.
The "extra bits" and everything else I used to set the blocks and bind the quilt are in my FINISHING KIT. Click here if you'd like to pre-order this now.
I had fun figuring out how to make the twisted ribbon unit so that it fit the blocks! See detail picture.
Used to separate the blocks, and shown here with my block, the fabrics for the twisted ribbon are in the finishing kit along with the red, two colors of blue, background (actually a very soft star print on white!) and the fun tossed blocks fabric and the stripe for the binding!
During the Shop Hop, Sept 30 thru Oct 9, you can buy a BLOCK KIT for a 12" finished block for just $7.99. It includes all the fabric used in the block, plus the full-color pattern. Every shop will have their own unique block kit, as seen in BOLD STRIPES above.
Yardage of the 3 exclusive fabrics, and the finishing kit, can be mailed. The block kits themselves can not be mailed. They can only be purchased in the participating shops during the Shop Hop. You've got 10 days to make the circuit! ;)
We give you lots of other rewards for VISITING THE SHOPS too. Make sure you get your FREE PATTERN, in each shop. And there will be door prizes in each shop to register for, in addition to the grand prize and all the gift baskets we give away as a group, drawing from the passports turned in at the end of the Hop. And of course, there will be LOTS & LOTS of FABRIC to shop!!!
